Once, a chassid of the 4th Chabad Rebbe, Rabbi Shmuel of Lubavitch, traveled to his Rebbe to be with him on Rosh HaShana. However, there were impediments on the road and he was unable to make it to Lubavitch[1].
Somewhat dejected he ended up celebrating the holiday in the city of Vitebsk.
After the holiday he continued to Lubavitch and had a private audience with the Rebbe.
Upon entering the Rebbe told him:
“You cannot fathom the rectification that you caused in the city of Vitebstk!”
All that happens is by Divine Providence. When we realize that in each place that we are in we have an important mission to fulfill, we will live each moment of our lives joyously.
