The verse (Yirmiyahu 16:11) states: “they forsook Me, and did not keep My Torah,” the Medrash (Eicha Rabba, 2) “I’d wish that they’d left me, as long as they kept my Torah.”
On this, Reb Nachman of Breslav explains that the meaning is as follows:[1]
“G-d says that I’d wish they’d cease analyzing and dissecting my existence and follow my Torah with simplicity without any complicated analyses.”
