Unwanted Pleasure

In the Yom Kippur prayers, we ask G-d that he forgive us for “the sin that we committed by compulsion and voluntarily.”

Once, the previous Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak, brought the following in the name of chassidim:[1]

“There are time when the initial sin was unavoidable and compulsory; however, once the person sinned, he enjoyed it.”

The Previous Rebbe explained “that it is like a humble person who is seated in a respectable position and shown abundant honor. Though he initially ‘protests,’ he revels in the admiration.”
