The 3rd Chabad Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Lubavitch, had an assistant named Yosef Mordechai[1].
Once, on a frigid and windy night, the Rebbe instructed this aide to sleep in the Rebbe’s sukka.
However, the aide protested, saying: “Rebbe, it’s freezing.”
The Rebbe responded:
“Amalek is cold. A Jew is warm. Go sleep in the sukka and I ensure that you will merit a long life.”
